About Me

My name is Gwyn Hartung and my pronouns are she/her. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2020 with degrees in Anthropology and Classical Studies. Currently, I am studying for my M.A. in Public History at St. Mary’s University. I hope to eventually earn a Ph.D. but for now I am happy to learn as much as I can from wherever I am in life.

I am interested in researching social and labor activists, such as Emma Tenayuca as well as the creepier aspects of history. My goal is to make history fun and enjoyable while still telling the stories that everyone should hear. I’m currently working on a creepy history podcast as well as two articles about important cultural events in history.

I’d love to work in a museum some day and create exhibits that show a whole new side of past events. If that doesn’t pan out working in a cultural center would be a wonderful career, helping my community understand their own history is something I would be proud of.

If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me, and stay tuned for all I have in store!
